Next EDGE Session: We hope to see all of our youth for our session next week, which we’ll be talking about how our lives are not random, but about the series of decisions we make every day that either bring us closer or further away from God in the end. Sessions start at 9:50AM at St. Margaret’s Cortona Hall. New youth are always welcomed.
Pray for our pilgrims: Take a moment to remember our young people in your prayers, especially for a safe and holy pilgrimage to and from NCYC on November 21-24 in Indianapolis, IN. Our pilgrims are: Jake Eifert, Grace Scheid, Tyler Heitker, Mary Eifert, and Nathan Eten. The 2013 theme is “Signed. Sealed. Delivered”. If you’d like to check out the conference’s website or even watch a live session during the conference, go to http://ncyc.nfcym.org/.
Save the Date to Serve: Plan to take some time out of your busy holiday schedule and serve the elderly in the community by singing Christmas carols for them at a couple area nursing homes. Any parishioner can participate, but we encourage families with youth to participate in this great service opportunity to care for and cheer up the elderly during the holiday season on Sunday, December 15th. We’ll meet at 3:00PM. More details to come.
NCYC Follow-Up Pilgrimage: We will have our follow-up pilgrimage meeting, “Delivered”, on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 6:30PM-8:00PM at St. Anthony’s Parish Center for teens who participated in NCYC and their parents. We’ll share what we experienced at the conference and how we can share our experience with others.
Advent is Coming: Prepare yourself for the holidays this year by going to the Youth Ministry website and connecting with our social media accounts. There are all kinds of things posted frequently to help you explore, pray, learn, network, and even laugh with others who love being a Christian. Teens, there’ll be a special post each day during Advent with ways you can prepare for the coming of Our Savior at Christmas.
Did you know?: You can find the entire Youth Ministry schedule through May 2014 online by going to http://smsjsacym.weebly.com/youth-ministry-calendar.html. We hope this helps you to plan ahead at home, so you’re able to participate in these dynamic, fun, and faith-filled events.
