News you'll find in the bulletin this weekend...
Happy Thanksgiving: A blessed Thanksgiving to all this Thursday. Please note we will not be having an EDGE session next Sunday, December 1st. We will resume sessions on December 8th.
National Catholic Youth Conference: Our pilgrimage is coming to an end. Take a moment to remember our pilgrims in your prayers, especially for a safe journey back to Cincinnati from the NCYC today. Our pilgrims are: Jake Eifert, Grace Scheid, Tyler Heitker, Mary Eifert, and Nathan Eten. The theme was “Signed. Sealed. Delivered” symbolizing our birth in Baptism, the seal of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation and being delivered by Christ through the cross and Eucharist. We hope to share more with you in the coming weeks.
NCYC Online: If you’d like to check out the conference’s website or even watch a recorded live session from the conference, go to http://ncyc.nfcym.org/
You can bring Christ’s joy to the elderly: Plan to take some time out of your busy holiday schedule and serve the elderly in the community by singing Christmas carols for them at a couple area nursing homes. Any parishioner can participate, but we encourage families with youth to participate in this great service opportunity to care for and cheer up the elderly during the holiday season on Sunday, December 15th. We’ll meet at 3:00PM at St. John Vianney, go to local nursing homes, and come back for a potluck dinner. Bring a dessert or warm dish to share.
NCYC Follow-Up Pilgrimage: We will have our follow-up pilgrimage meeting, “Delivered”, on Tuesday, December 3rd, from 6:30PM-8:00PM at St. Anthony’s Parish Center for teens who participated in NCYC and their parents. We’ll share what we experienced at the conference and how we can share our experience with others.
Advent is coming: Prepare yourself for the Christmas this year by going to the Youth Ministry website and connecting with our social media accounts. Anyone can connect. There’ll be a special post each day during Advent, which starts on December 1st, with different actions you can take to get ready.
