Confirmation Ministry
What is The Sacrament Of Confirmation?
Confirmation is a true sacrament instituted by Christ and different from baptism. It is administered by laying-on of hands and anointing with chrism accompanied by prayer. The chrism is blessed by the bishop and the bishop administers the sacrament. All baptized persons can and should be confirmed. The effect of the sacrament of confirmation is to give strength in faith and for the confession of faith and to impress an indelible character.

These dates and deadlines are important to keep everyone on track to gain the most from this journey. The Confirmation Team uses the deadlines as a way to assess if the candidate and family are serious about the Sacrament of Confirmation.
If we have received no communication from a parent/guardian surrounding these, we will assume that the candidate and family are not serious about preparing for the Sacrament and we will respect that. Candidates will be removed from the active preparation list.
