The Young Church Is Alive!: Many of our junior high youth and 500+ other Catholic junior high youth were at Good Shepherd last Saturday for CHOSEN, an exciting event for youth around the archdiocese, with praise and worship, Mass, a talk about living our lives as God’s chosen ones, a time to talk about the message, Adoration with time to pray, and how God has an awesome plan for each of us. The event also had a concurrent parent session to share practical information and tips for parents on how to talk about and share faith with their kids at home since they are the most influential. Thanks to all who were there and remember, we’ve all been CHOSEN and set apart by God for something special.
Full, Active, Conscious- Some of you may find Mass to be not very exciting or even boring. Is it important to be more than just someone sitting in the pew? At the next EDGE session you’ll hear and talk about what is really happening during Mass and get the tools and encouragement you need to fully enter into the Mass experience every time you’re there.
We’re Talented: We all possess talents God gave us. What are yours? At the next EPIC session you’ll be able to share your talents and hear about how God wants us to use them the best we can. EPIC is for those in grades Kindergarten-1st, and 2nd-4th. Sessions start at 9:50AM and finish at 10:55AM. Registrations for EDGE and EPIC is always open, just come to the session and find the registration form on http://smsjsacym.weebly.com/registrations.html. The Power of Social Media and the Internet: Most of us know the power social media and the internet can have on us all. It is an awesome tool we can use to share the Good News, too.
