Prayers for Confirmation Candidates and Families: The candidates and their families eagerly anticipate this Wednesday’s Confirmation Liturgy at St. Cecilia’s. Keep these youth and their families in your daily prayers as they seek to be sealed with the Holy Spirit. Belle Keegan, George Burquest, Mollie McGuire, Jack Flanagan, Andrew Pruitt, Lanna DeBow, Sam Thornton, and Zoriah Connolly.
Keep Calm and Sing Alleluia Finale: At the EDGE session this week we’ll close our retreat and season of EDGE sessions. We’ll discuss Pentecost or the coming of the Holy Spirit to the apostles after Jesus’ Resurrection and what it means to us today as his believers. It’s our turn to go out and be disciples NOW!
An EPIC Finale: At the finale to our EPIC season we’ll discuss what we’ve learned up unto this point, share the Gospel reading, and have a little fun celebrating with an activity or two.
Confirmation Rehearsal: All candidates, their sponsors, and anyone who is serving in a liturgical role (i.e. servers, Eucharistic Ministers, readers) are expected to participate in the rehearsal on Monday, April 27th, at St. Cecilia’s and are asked to arrive 10-15 minutes early before the 7:00PM start time.
Confirmation Liturgy: The Confirmation Liturgy is on Wednesday, April 29th, at St. Cecilia’s in Oakley. The Liturgy will start at 7:00PM. Confirmation families, please arrive 30 minutes early (6:30PM). If any members of the parish would like to come to support the candidates, they are welcomed to do so.
Decision Point Confirmation “Is Holiness Possible”: What did we experience at Confirmation? Is holiness possible for you? The last session of our Decision Point series will take place on Wednesday, May 6th, starting at 7:00PM inside St. Margaret-St. John Cafeteria. Get there early for a drink and snack. This is for the newly confirmed, parents, and sponsors to share and participate in.
2nd Last Chance for Outdoor Adventure!: Saturday, May 9th, meeting at 9:00AM. Youth in middle school and high school, along with their parent(s) are invited to go on a short day canoeing adventure on the Little Miami River. We’ll have lunch on the river and show off our paddling skills on the river. Life is an adventure! Last call! Cost estimated at $15 per person, scholarships available if this is a factor. This is a great way for the newly initiated and confirmed to celebrate their invigorated faith and take the next step in their adventure. Bring a packed lunch. NCYC Registration Open to Teens, Express Your Interest Today!: Youth who are in the graduating classes of ’16-’19 are eligible to participate in the National Catholic Youth Conference from November 19th-22nd. It is an exciting, 3-day experience for Catholic teens that includes keynotes, workshops, liturgy, reconciliation, prayer and worship, exhibits and other special activities. Cost is $460 for transportation, conference fee, and hotel. If you are at all interested or have questions, please contact Nathan Eten.
