Serve, Sing, Scarf: All of our middle school, high school, and their families are invited to participate in service to our community by singing Christmas carols at Mercy St. Theresa and Indiansprings, December 16th, from 2:45PM-6:00PM. We will meet at the St. John Vianney Rectory (Fr. Dave’s house), then go to sing carols (or try to sing carols), and meet back up at Fr. Dave’s house to eat a potluck dinner. What a great opportunity for your family to serve the elderly community together during this blessed time of year.
“Rudy” Family Movie Night in Your Home: Every Catholic loves Notre Dame, right? Well, they’re playing in the BCS National Championship in January and I know, I’ll be cheering for them. Before the game, have a movie night and watch “Rudy” as a family or with your friends and make it interactive using a great resource we have available. “Rudy” is based off a true story about an undersized young man with a gigantic dream, to play for Notre Dame. The resource includes detailed character outlines, an interesting “Did You Know” section, and several discussion questions based on ambition, perseverance, determination, discipline, God’s Plan, and community. If you would like a copy of this resource, contact Nathan Eten via e-mail or phone.
