Parents, our session on March 9th was a special session, which focused on sharing the mission of the CRS Rice Bowl with our youth. The CRS Rice Bowl has been a Lenten practice going on for a while now, which teaches us to pray, fast, and give. This year one of the countries that will benefit from the CRS Rice Bowl is Malawi. We took time in our session to learn about Timothy, a native Malawian and watched a video where Malawians explained how CRS was helping them organize their resources to receive better trade prices for their chili peppers. Each CRS Rice Bowl country focuses on one of the Catholic Social Teachings, our focus was Rights for Workers and Fair Trade.
