Today we talked about God’s judgment on our lives. We recite “he will come in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end”, at Mass, but what does this mean to us. We encouraged the youth to reflect on how they can make changes in their lives in order to draw nearer to Christ. We talked about the opportunity they and you have to engage in the Sacrament of Reconciliation later this week at the parish Reconciliation Service at St. Anthony on Tuesday, December 10th, to be freed from their sins.
Here are some questions to help start a conversation.
· How does it feel when someone forgives you?
· What decisions can you make now to grow closer to Christ to get ready for His coming?
· What do you need from us to help you?
Challenge for Youth
· What reminders do you have, even in your bedroom, not to sin/make a bad decision? Does your bedroom look like one that has reminders such as your Bible, rosary, or a crucifix or an icon on the wall? Does it have any “evidence” of your faith?
· You have an opportunity to go to the Reconciliation service this Tuesday night to be freed from your sins. This decision will help you stay close to Christ and help you to not to sin/make bad choices in the future.
· This week you’re encouraged to take pictures of reminders of faith in your house or room. Make a “Reminders of Faith” poster for your room.
